Mission Statement

The Dartmouth Housing Authority is a government agency that operates and manages public housing in Bristol County, Massachusetts. The housing authority oversees low-income housing, including the application process, eligibility guidelines, and related resources. The Authority provides stable, quality, affordable housing opportunities for low and moderate income families throughout the local community. It also provides housing assistance to low income families through the management of the area’s Housing Choice VOucher Program-Section8.

IN SUPPORT OF THIS MISSION and purpose, the AHA has the following responsibilities to the community:

  1. To expand the supply of low income housing by building and managing additional housing
  2. To take advantage of State & Federal programs to meet the community’s low income needs
  3. To serve as an information resource, advocate, and conscience regarding housing and
    housing needs
  4. To advocate for and assist the tenants/residents of AHA to achieve their independence
  5. To educate the community on housing needs & the role of the AHA in addressing these
    needs.
The Bridgewater Housing Authority was established to provide safe, decent and affordable housing opportunities in the Town of Bridgewater and we are passionate about this mission.
